Equipment
(Recipe can be halved)
Container with lid (to fit ~36 tablet cubes)
Measuring spoon and cup
Glass mixing bowl
3 standard ice-cube trays (plastic or silicon)
Dust mask
Ingredients:
This recipe can easily be halved for less cubes
1 cup baking soda
1 cup Super washing soda
1 cup Borax
4 Tbs food-grade Citric Acid
12 Tbsp unscented Castille liquid soap
1/2 cup salt
13-15 Tbsp of water
Small amount of cooking oil to coat tray

Measure and Mix Ingredients
Wear a dust mask and add all dry ingredients to a mixing bowl
Mix thoroughly, breaking up any clumps
Add water and Castile soap 1 Tbsp at a time, stirring until the mixture reaches a clay‑like texture when squeezed
Pack the Ice Cube Tray
Tip: Lightly oil each tray slot for easier release.
Press the clay-like mixture firmly into each slot, filling and compressing
Let the trays dry uncovered overnight
Storage
Remove tablets from trays (if stuck, invert the tray and tap firmly over a dishtowel covered counter)
Place tablets loosely in a container, secure the lid.
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight.
Recommended Use
Load one tablet in your dishwasher's detergent dispenser
Wash using your usual settings
